Always Stressed by Susan
We all have stress in our lives and of course, some of that stress is good for us. It can motivate us to accomplish tasks. However, there is another kind of stress that really wears a person down both physically and emotionally......bad stress.
I always feel stressed. It seems there is too much bad stress in everyones lives these days. My family members and friends show signs of too much stress. Even perfect strangers, especially on the road, show signs of bad stress.
While many people feel signs of stress every now and then, but those with depression often are more effected by stress than others. You can get health information on managing stress and depression online, though it's always best to consult your doctor as well.
Yesterday a woman yelled at me across a restaurant saying, "that's mine". She had placed her food order right before me and then went to the restroom. Apparently her companion picked up her order for her. When I picked up mine she made a mistake and was very rude. I know she was experiencing some kind of really bad stress!
My stress level is very high but most people I encounter think I behave as if I am as cool as a cucumber. I guess I hide it well! In fact, I take medication to help me with depression, anxiety, stress and those other negative feelings so many of us struggle with.
Sometimes I try to figure out what exactly is causing me to feel so darned stressed out. I make a mental list and that's as far as it goes. I wonder what would happen if all of us made a mental list or even a written list of all the things that cause us stress and then see what kinds of steps we can take to reduce the stress involved with each item on that list? Maybe I'll give that a try someday when I'm not feeling too stressed out.

Stress should not be confused with rudeness. The woman who barked at you in the restauarant, probably lives in a cocoon of self-denial about herself. She would no more admit to being rude than to being stressed.
Not everyone takes the time to examine their life. She probably thinks she's perfectly normal.

I have a head full of gray hair due to stress. I think it is good you handle stress well. You must have an outlet somewhere, somehow (this website?).
