Bicycle Ready.........by David
I ride a bike because I gave up on cars about four years ago. Driving caused me too much stress. Now I have no problems with insurance, gasoline, inspections and upkeep. Besides that, I would be twice as big as I am now if it were not for my bike. I may have found a lifetime cure for the saying, "I can't get myself to exercise" in the typical ways such as jogging, running on a treadmill, lifting weights and anything else that would increase my circulation a bit.
I feel better! There is a jogging, biking trail that runs through our city and a stretch of it is about six blocks from where I live. This long path is all in the woods. I ride down to it then I ride the trail as if I am in a race or a bear is chasing me. (not ruling out the latter) I turn around and ride it again and again, pushing myself harder each time.
If you ride a bike, get rid of those gears! You are missing out on some real exercise that is fun and not as hard on your joints as jogging. You will feel better for it!

You are doing a great job of exercising. I feel inspired to do some myself after reading about your biking. I know exercise will help us with our depression.
