The Music of Your Life........by David

What is your favorite year for music?  Mine is 1968.  Music sometimes is a big part of our lives.  We associate it with happiness, sadness, love and just about anything else you can think of.  Well, it can also be associated with change, change in the way you live your life , and whether you are happy or not.  How?  Have you ever not liked a son or artist or have never heard of them before?  Well, along comes some guy or gal into your life who does like this artist or song and ali-kazam, something special happens, you not only like the song you, you constantly hum it until you see your loved one again.  Really mysterious turn-a-bout here, don't you think?

Is it saying to you that you can't see life in a different light because you won't let yourself see it?  We all seem to wait for that special someone who is going to change our lives forever or those special songs that will make us feel good for a while.

Change is the hardest thing to accomplish in life and we need all the tools we can muster to make it happen.  Music can help you temporarily.  Maybe we could make new positive, permanent, flashback connections with music,  connections to that special guy or gal.......who is you.

    The music I listened to in my youth was the heavy metal of the late eighties. Thats the music I could listen to and relive the past that can evoke a wide range of emotions.

    I now listen to contemporary Christian music, and my husband listens to gangster rap music. Talk about extremes!
