I went thru a depression after being layed off years ago. I can understand how you feel with the isolationism. It is hard to see friends when you are feeling down. What helped me get thru is volunteering with animal rescue. Do you have a pet? If you can't have one, spending time with adoptable animals and helping to take care of them really helps your internal stuff too. Studies show that if you pet an animal it lowers the blood pressure. Also by volunteering with any worthy cause, it helps you feel better. And you can build friendships. Hang in there!

Comment on When Things Go From Bad to Worse

I agree with what you have to say.....

Comment on Depression, a Battle Again!

As an avid Internet user I read many blogs, however your blogs such as his and hers I found informative, well thought out, entertaining and resourceful. I think that other than yoga, online therapy like chatting or having a video call with your therapist is also a great stress reliever since it's downright convenient and relaxing to talk with an expert over the Web.
